Because every animal is a slightly different size, we take payment once the exact weight is known. You pay for the real weight, not an estimate.
Is Buying a Whole Lamb Cheaper?
For most families, yes. At $22 per kg you pay one flat price for everything on the animal, including the cuts that normally cost far more on their own: loin chops ($29.99 per kg when bought separately), boneless shoulder ($25.99) and cutlets ($53.99).
The honest trade-off is that a whole lamb also includes bone and the cheaper cuts, and you need freezer space for 22kg or more of meat. If you only ever cook one cut, buying that cut on its own can make more sense. If your household eats lamb every week, a whole or half lamb is the cheapest way to fill the freezer.
How Much Does a Leg of Lamb Cost?
